The Director of New Business Development will be responsible for growing our client’s multifamily design and construction services business. He or she should be someone who has relationships with developers, can promote design-build services, and make an immediate impact, quickly bringing in new clients.
Company Info:Our client is a private equity real estate company who specializes in multifamily design, development, construction and property management. They have a portfolio of over 6,000, Class A apartment units in multiple states. They are growing and want to expand their design build services geographically. They are an entrepreneurial and collaborative organization. They have built not only beautiful projects, but a top-notch team. They are looking for employees who want to be part of growth.
Key Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in multifamily development, design, construction or architecture (who has contacts with developers)
- Someone with contacts in multiple states (a regional book of business). Ideal person will have covered 2-3 cities, multiple areas or submarkets
- Multifamily experience is required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Demonstrated understanding of approval processes (from a development standpoint)
- Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office and an expert in CRM software and creation of platform and repeatable processes
- Prior proven B2B and B2C sales experience and track record
- Previous position in sales, with proven achievement in multi-family design/construction, with excellent negotiation skills and decision-making abilities
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the month, depending on person’s location
- Salesforce knowledge is a plus
- Strong organizational skills
