Position Available: VP of Investments/Acquisitions
Location: Birmingham, Alabama
The VP of Investments works diligently to fulfill the acquisition and development strategy of the company through deal sourcing, financial analysis and modeling, due diligence, debt/equity procurement processes and asset closing with a primary focus of identifying/evaluating/presenting new opportunities. This position has comprehensive responsibilities related to new asset acquisitions and dispositions and is supported by analyst(s), legal counsel, finance, asset management and property management personnel. This position reports directly to the President and is responsible for leading the Investment Committee for review and approval of investments.

Key Requirements:

BA Degree; highly prefer MBA

5+ years of direct acquisitions and underwriting experience within multifamily; experience creating growth and value through acquisitions/development. Must have an excellent network of Brokers/Owners to source deals.

Strong analytical and communication skills.

Must have the ability to critically assess land, buildings, grounds, and landscaping.

Must have excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) with the ability to create customized research reports and integrate data into existing database formats. Also, strong technical experience with computer modeling.
